    Having Internet Addiction...

    Hi All,

I am new here on this forum. But I do hope I am at the "right place" looking for tips, ways, suggestions and advice how to overcome Internet Addiction alone (without meds and doctors).

I simply can't stop spending only a healthy amount of time online. When I am home, my PC is on and I am there....online. I log on and stay on even at nights even when I need to go to work the next day.

I have become depressed due to it and even have been procrastinating as well.

How could I cope with this?

Thanks for helpful advice and tips.

Set a time when you can be on guilt free and limit it by a timer. Take pride in controlling the addiction rather than be controlled by it. You may be substituting it in place of something else. Find out what it is and pursue that instead. Your depressed feelings may be instigating the problem rather than the result of it. Good luck, I hope that this was helpful.
