I found this on High Caffeine Intake Linked To Hallucination Proneness

Re: Caffeine
that's interesting. I've never heard of that before. I drink way to much caffeine, I guess it's just another reason to cut down on it.

Re: Caffeine
Im the same way. I cut down some when they put me on lithium because they say its not a good combo but I still drink to much. I have episodes of auditory hallucinations and delusions. Some episodes are worse than others I wonder now if that may be a contributing factor.

Re: Caffeine
Some people are against sex before marriage, others drinking alcohol. I am against drinking coffee or coffee products. It has nothing but negative effects on the body and becomes addictive. My sister was unable to go a day without a coffee product just to satisfy her brain. This was causing her to lose sleep and was making her feel crappy. By all means you can drink it, it's your body but i choose not to because i already have an addictive personality, i don't need any more problems.
Yes i contradict myself and am a hypocrite because i do drink alcohol which is worse then coffee, it's just something about something portrayed as being harmless seems worse then something you know is doing you harm.

Re: Caffeine
I know this thread is old, but about 3 weeks ago I stopped consuming caffeinated products. I have felt so much better. I am no longer fatigued, moody, jittery, anxious and I no longer get headaches. I didn't realize how much of a slave I was to caffeine until I stopped using it. I find it intriguing that consumption of large amounts of caffeine can produce/enhance auditory hallucinations.
