Hi i found this forum when i typed "Help" into google. I need to find people who are on the same wavelength as me. Iv had depression for four years. Since my mum was diagnosed with her illness "ME", which changed my life alot. She is able bodied but uses a wheelchair when she pops into town, but it was the emotional side of her illness that i found hard to deal with. I have just completed my GCSE exams, which were very tough as i have glandular fever at the moment also. I have recently felt very, very down and so i signed up here to see if it would help to know that other people understand.
Well, thats all for now but this was just a brief of me and my life. I hope to get on well with you all.

I can imagine taking care of someone with ME leaves you with little time to work on yourself. Don't forget how important it is to take time for yourself because you can't be an effective caregiver without also giving care to your own well-being. It is NOT selfish to do this. It seems between taking care of her and your exams you need some time to work on your own depressed state which might just be part of the normal ups and downs of your situation and if you don't take the time to address it now, the "very, very down" period could become exacerbated. So poke around this site, and also be sure you're getting out and about and doing some healthy, enjoyable activities with whomever you can!
