Atm it's Nicholas Evans. He wrote "The Horse Whisperer" & "The Smoke Jumper"... I've read all his books, he's a fantastic writer.
His last book, "The Divide" Was his best yet..

Also like a bit of chick lit..Monica McInnerney is good.

Bryce courteney is one of my favourite authors at the moment- i love four fires i think it is a brilliant australian story.

Although i also love the tomorrow series and would definitley recommend people to read it. I can really relate to it at the moment because of all the terrorism and stuff going on at the moment- makes you realise how unprepared we'd all be if war was to break out in australia. The girl talking about losing her land is something that would drive me crazy if it was to happen to me, I couldn't imagine my parents farm being taken away!!

also just finished rachel treasure's new book- definitley good for a bit of a laugh

The Bible, Charles Dickens, Dr Phil, autobiographies of people who have lived difficult lives and overcome or are overcoming their difficulties: Two favourites "The long walk to freedom" by Nelson Mandela and "A bed of red Flowers" Nelofer Pazira (about growing up in Afghanistan). Matthew Kelly: "The Rythm of Life" So many books, so little time. I hope there are libraries in heaven.

    Re: Favourite Author?

Like a few others, John Marsden is my absolute favourite author. Since I first read 'The Tomorrow Series' at high-school I have been a massive fan of his work. I wish I could write like that! I have read his books so many times now and I never get tired of them.

Also, other favourite authors are: Trudi Canavan (she wrote 'The Black Magician trilogy' - great reads for fantasy fans), Clive Cussler, Patrick O'Brian and Bryce Courtney.
