We are bombarded with materialism thousands of times a day?

It's hard to tell.
I'm happy to travel around in my ute with the bare essentials, but always love the comfort of having the things I want as well.
I guess I'm not- honestly i'd be happy to travel with naught but a dog and a swag.

To a degree.
As Random said..I like my home comforts..but I can do without the trimmings that money can buy.
I don't own an iPod(wouldn't know the first thing about using it!), dont' have a dishwasher...but if you gave me them I would probablly use them.
Sometimes I get sick of my mobile phone.. it's just another disruption in my life I could really do without. What did we do before?!

I guess it depends on what you consider materialism- i mean, i love having my ipod and a flash mobile and stuff but then, Im just interested in technology and I love trying to learn how to use these things.
On the other hand, I dont think I am materialistic because I'm more than happy to just rock up to uni in my trackies and a jumper- whereas majority of the girls look like they've spent hours doing their hair and makeup (even when we have an 8am lecture).
I guess materialism is based around what your interests are, for some people they love technology, others love their animals and will spend 1000's of dollars on the saddles etc.. so i dont really know how materialism can really be defined
