Do you believe in God or a higher being?

God = no.
Higher beings- for sure. Not everything in this world is under our control. I believe that we as individuals all have our own 'higher beings' as well, controlling our destiny, for lakc of a better description.

Yup i believe in God

I spose I do,

But I dont go to church etc, as I was once told that he is everywhere, infront of us beside us and behind us..

So I figure if hes with me and is so powerful, then he knows what I am thinking and how I feel so I dont need to go to a church to talk to him or let him know of my repsect for him etc..

Much the same as my two younger brothers (Colin and Peter RIP 8.12.95) they know me and they are with him looking out for our family, mum, dad and our younger sister and I dont need to go to the cemetary to talk to them as I see them everday in my girls and when we hear some songs playing..
We often see signs when we are having a rough trot, an example is My wife whom they never met, had a rotten day at work and was at the end of her wits and heard "Lake Of Fire" by Nirvana (Kelly my wife, knew we played it at the funeral) over the noise of the machinery..this immediately calmed her down.

I have lots of stories like this about my brothers and things that have happened like that.. but thats alot of typing..

I believe that God, My Grandmother and my Brothers are watching over us all.. My brothers never ever gave up on anything and where to stubborn to be made to.

Shit I miss them..(as tears well in my eyes)

Stegs- thats a really good perspective to have. I definitely believe in God, I was raised a Catholic and while I know I don't strictly follow all the guidelines set out I do still believe and occassionally go to church. I refuse to believe that when a person dies that there is nothing left of them- their soul must go somewhere and I believe they do go to heaven until we can meet up with them again later when it's our turn.

I do not believe in any theological interperatation of God, nor any sort of higher power. If one were to show itself though, I would not deny it's existance, i'm open to the possibility.
