Parenting when depressed
As a parent and as someone who has experienced depression, I am interested in hearing about other parents' experiences of parenting while depressed. I have been lucky to not have had an episode over the past few years, but I would like to know what parents found difficult as they have tried to parent in the throes of depression. Thank you in advance for your replies.

Re: Parenting when depressed
hi im not a parent but im an aunt and one thing that sucks about having depression is the lack of energy and sometimes the whole you want to die and physical pains like headaches lol ill stop there before i make a list, well sometimes my niece wants to play and here i am feeling like dying and having a migraine i have to explain to her aunty is sick and has a headache and cant play, which sucks and then you see the disappointment in their eyes and your stuck feeling worse for being a let down, or the random crying and having to explain to them you feel very sad and theyre stuck feeling helpless, its a horrible feeling. i guess mainly its feeling like a letdown and not being able to be the best you can for them or be there for them completely you know. well those are me personal difficulties.
