Ray of light at the end of the tunnel
Yesterday I went to my first social event, my niece's birthday party. Actually, my husband was very insistent that I go (bless him). This was my first outing since I started my meds. I spent the whole month practically hiding out in my room, apart from basic chores such as supermarket shopping and cooking and short walks with my husband.
Anyway I did it, felt good to be among people, came home in a positive frame of mind. Today I haven't experienced any side effects and we're going out tonight to visit some family members.
Please, Keep your fingers crossed that the worst is behind me!
Thought I'd share this with you guys.

Re: Ray of light at the end of the tunnel
This is great news! And I'm glad to hear that you're going to build on this good experience right away.
If it's been a month, you're pretty much right on schedule for the medication to start making you feel better, so it sounds like your doctors got it right (which plenty of people around her can tell you isn't something to take for granted).
And now, you've gotten a nice big dose of the best anti-depressant of all: hope!
Keep up the good work, and keep us posted.
