    Smile OK Weekend

I'm pleased to say that I'm having an OK weekend.

Yesterday I cycled to a nearby town. It took 20 minutes in each direction, and I was worn out afterwards! But it was nice there.

Today I cycled to the supermarket. Not terribly exciting, but at least it got me out of the house. I have also cleaned the house even though it was not my usual day for hoovering. My parents are coming for tea, I am cooking a risotto.

I used to really love cycling. Since I developed chronic fatigue syndrome I just find it hard work and not pleasurable any more. But it's good to get outside and get some exercise. Light exercise is good for chronic fatigue and also gives my mood a boost. I'm actually feeling OK this weekend. I feel like I have achieved something!

Cycling sounds like great fun (though I hear what you're saying about not finding it pleasureable anymore). I have an exercise cycle at home and really enjoy it. I wish I had the courage to buy a bike and get out into the open air but a bit of a scaredy cat when it come to the open road.

Thats a good way to get exercise, unlike running which plays havoc with many parts of your body, lol. I've been thinking of buying a bike again. I love riding! Glad you enjoyed your weekend
