    The Weather

I've heard many people who suffer from depression say that they're worse when the weather is bad - when it's rainy/snowy/cold. I know there's also a recognised type of depression called seasonal depression where people suffer from depression only (or mainly) during winter.

But I'm the other way around. I love the rain and cold, particularly when I'm depressed. If I'm miserable and the day is beautiful and sunny, it makes me feel much worse. On the other hand, if the day is grey and wet, it actually makes me feel better.

Does anyone else get this (apparently backwards) preference for the weather?

Sometimes yeah. I can sometimes enjoy a really good storm with thunder and lightning. Sometimes a soft gentle rain is good to. I am a painter so i often thing of wet gray days as "watercolor days".
The long long cold gray winter can get me down sometimes though. I would like to be like a weed, that grows under almost any conditions.

Nope i don't get depressed when the weather changes - For me it can happen at anytime. I could be a happy kid for a month or more then something will trigger me then i have bad days

yea I'm weird with weather. I like it rainy, cloudy, snowing, or dark it doesn't bother me at all. I hate the summer heat though.
