Hmmmm, I have a feeling this forum needs a jump start. There are 800+ members, and no discussions going on. I've had 26 people look at my thread in the New People section, and not one person said hello. Is it my breath?

Anyway, I'm hoping to get a something started around here, as I'm sure we could all use the encouragement.

Soooo......Please post a little about your depression - your biggest struggles - things like that. Maybe we can all get to know each other that way.

Hi and sorry you aren't getting the responses you had hoped for. We have been slow as of late. I personally am in one of those moods where I dont feel like I have anything helpful to say. I thought maybe the beginning of the summer had to do with the loss of some of the others who post.
As for me my dx is Bipolar 1 and PTSD. I struggle daily with depression as it is not being treated for fear of me going into a manic phase. Im tired of doctors and meds but I know Ill feel a bit better soon as my depression gets bad then lessens some. How are you?

Hi...nice to hear from you. It sounds like you have some real struggles, but you have a good outlook.

You asked how I'm doing.....I just got out of the hospital in May with another bout of depression. I am doing very well now though. I have depression, anxiety and OCD....although my OCD is so much better than it was years ago. But, unfortunately, I still suffer from the depression that the OCD caused 26yrs ago.

Hi, i agree that this site does need some more interaction as i came here in hope to find that i was not alone in my struggles. I dont know quite how to explain my 'Struggles', but i have depression, and that alone is a hefty weight to carry while the friends surrounding me seem to have less and less in common with me and i begin to lose them. I see a therapist, and before her a very hopeless councillor who left me feeling worse-thinking that no-one could help. Often i still do. But the work i do with my lovely therapist is helping- slowly, but its definately helping.

I'm glad you have a good therapist now. That is worth gold, right? Yes, depression is difficult. Sometimes friends dont understand. Take care - more tomorrow.............
