Provides access to 24-hour emergency refuge accommodation, as well an information service, including safety planning and translation facilities. The helpline is run by a partnership of leading domestic violence agencies such as Women's Aid and Refuge.

Rights of Women (ROW) ROW is a women's voluntary organisation informing, educating and empowering women on their legal rights.
Their advice line (+44 (0)20 7251 6577) is open on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 2-4pm and 7-9pm, and also on Friday, 12-2pm. You can speak to a qualified woman solicitor or barrister and get legal help for free on:

Confidential information and support available 24 hours a day, every day of the year. The Freephone number does not appear on itemised phone bills.
They can put you in touch with local services like Women's Aid, or your Housing Department. Helpline workers are all women and have received training in all relevant issues.

Women’s Aid provides confidential information, support and safe refuge for women who have experienced or are experiencing domestic abuse. This is a women only service. All groups have children's support workers, who provide support to children and young people, helping them to understand what they have experienced and move on.
You don't have to be ready to leave home right away to go to Women's Aid – you can just go for a chat and to find out about your options, or get the name of a sympathetic solicitor. Some groups have regular support meetings and some provide support after moving on from refuge.

Victim Support Scotland offers information and support to victims of crime, including domestic abuse and has local services all over Scotland. All help is free and confidential. Contact the lo-call number above or find your local service number in the telephone directory.
Police
Domestic abuse is a criminal offence. Forces have specially trained, experienced officers who will speak to you separately from your partner.
Women can ask to be seen by a woman officer. The police can, if you wish, arrange medical aid, transport and a safe place for you to go. Their first priorities are your safety and well-being and that of your children.
To contact the police in an emergency call 999. At other times you can contact your local police station. The number will be in the telephone directory.
Rape Crisis Scotland
If you are a woman who has been raped or sexually assaulted or who is a survivor of childhood sexual abuse, you can contact Rape Crisis Crisis Scotland.
The National Office number is 0141 248 8848 and they can refer you to support available for your local Rape Crisis Centre.
