Suffered and now I want to help others

Hi there!

I am new on this forum, and I hope that I will learn a bunch of new things, and also be able to help people who have been suffering from the same mental woes like me. I have depression and some other disorder, but look at me now. I'm still here. Surviving.

It's easy for us to look at our lives and feel so terrible about it. We all have harder-than-normal problems. Normal people do not have to go through the mental tortures that we had gone through. But I believe our problems can make us stronger than the normal people.

Life is unfair, but I believe God is fair, and our problems will be blessings in disguise. In the meanwhile, let us hold on and persevere through!

I like your attitude and agree, life is not fair. With that said though I think the key is to just accept that life is not fair and not use that as an excuse to give up. I'm glad you want to help others also, we can use all the help we can get.

I'm new too. Rather than start a new post, I thought I'd just add to this one.

I recently finished a 10-day stay at a mental hospital followed by 2 months of intensive daily therapy.

I feel like kind of a new person. And I too am all for helping others with what I've learned.

I look forward to looking around the forum.
