    Found this site totally by accident

    Hi;
    I found this site while doing a domain search for "bluepeople". The blue people I was thinking about were the natives in the film Avatar.
    But being that I have been depressed for many years, and am currently on meds but still feel depressed a lot of the time, I thought it might have been my fate to find this forum, so I registered.

    I am a 54 year old guy who thinks and acts more like someone in his 20's; not kidding here. Anyway, I have always been single, and prefer it that way. I have not been working for the past 2-1/2 years, after losing a job I had for 10 years. Before that, I worked for nearly 20 years with one outfit.
    I was an electronics technician / engineer (but without a degree) doing mostly benchwork.
    I believe that what got me depressed was that I grew bored and frustrated by my work, and didn't have the drive to look for something else.
    I have explored other fields, including photo retouching (Adobe Photoshop), IT (MS and Novell), but never got the incentive or ambition to pursue anything.

    I am currently hoping to find some income working online, but again, don't really know where to start.
    But this is not my reason for joining the forum. I am looking for a place to hang out and talk to others who share my kind of problem, and maybe we can help each other by bumping heads.
    Otherwise, I might just find myself living in cyberspace or watching movies like Avatar (which I enjoyed immensely) forever.

    Hey, welcome to BluePeople.com

    It's fuuny you say you found this forum by accident looking for the Avatar movie blue people. I am seeing about 20 visitors per day here coming from search phrases related to that movie. I never saw the movie or knew anything about it, I finally had to look it up to figure out why this site is getting so many visitors from those keywords.

    Anyway, I just took over this site in December after it was kind of abandoned by the previous owner, so it's still slow around here but moving along quickly.

    I hope you find it beneficial here.

    Belated welcome, from sorta a newbie here. Interesting how you found BP and etc. How I found this site was doing searches on depression anxiety chat forums or the other way around. Can't get remember what were the exact terms. It took some time before I decided to registered here. Really didn't stay that long because it was before Steve took over it from the previous owner. You know the rest of the story. Have to say we are pretty much like and etc. Expect I'm still in my 20s and etc.
